Teacher/Administrator Instruction Sheet

Note to person administering this questionnaire: This questionnaire is designed to provide baseline quantitative and qualitative data regarding student mastery of the economic concepts and Keystone Economic Principles presented in year one of the Infusionomics certification process. The same questionnaire should be administered at the end of the school year as a means to measure behavior and attitude changes and evaluate the program as a whole. It is important to remember that this is not a teacher evaluation tool. Please read the following instructions verbatim to your students in order to prepare them to answer each question to the best of their ability. Feel free to provide clarity in your own words as you see fit.

“Today you are going to take a personal skills survey related to the economic literacy curriculum that I/we will be teaching this school year. You will take the same survey at the end of the school year as well. Keep in mind that this is not a test that you will be graded on. The results will help us evaluate the effectiveness of this approach to help students become better decision makers. The survey should take about 30-45 minutes to complete. Read each sentence and answer the question “How well could you explain this idea to someone who is not in your class?” Circle the number that matches your answer. If you cannot explain any of it then circle “0”. If you can explain all of it then circle “4”. If your answer is somewhere in the middle then circle the number that best describes how much you can explain. Remember there are no right or wrong answers.”
